Have you tried communicating to a person who doesn’t know how to listen? How do you feel about it?
Have you tried communicating to a person who is deaf? Is it through sign language or is it through meeting the minds?
And, have you tried communicating with a person who has an hour to live? How do you do, then?
These high defined questions should not be answered by the first level of thinking skills. Further, it should be defined of the words that cannot be said. Please listen to what I am not saying. According to old Mister Webster, communication is defined as an act or process of using words, sounds, signs or behavior to express or exchange information. Just like technologies, it could change from time to time because communication is dynamic. However, if a person dwells from the message of the heart, you will understand its deep meaning and not only the mere one. Communicating to a person who doesn’t know how to listen is like talking to non-living things. That’s the time you can say that even animals or pets know how to listen when you call their names. Isn’t it ashamed? We all know that humans are the highest form of mammals. Thus, listening skill should be developed at younger age and not only applied in adulthood.
Moreover, communicating with a deaf is not easy. Definitely, you will use sign language. What if you don’t know any about it? Oh common, try using your finger-pointed hands. Don’t you know any common sign languages or just any common pouty lip pointing? And that’s pretty amazing! No! Communicating with them is to understand their perspective and accepting him for what he is and not for what is lacking in him. That’s the essence of a good communication.
Nevertheless, communicating with a person who has an hour to live is the biggest battle of your life because you have to confess all the things you have done unto him and say sorry for the things that made his heart felt down. Also, thank you is the most important word that you cannot say but you wanted to. But that time is the only time that you will say it before the Creator will keep him in His divine keeping.
Do not waste time, because time lost can never be regained. So, if you can do the things you can today, do it now! Do not wait for that one moment that it’s too late. Do not wait for that moment when you cannot say words you want to say to that person. You are blessed because He has given you time to live life that is full of excitement and happiness along the way. Do not wait for the time that you may say that words to a person who cannot communicate with you anymore. You may say sorry and thank you to that person but he will never rise again. Please, listen to what I am not saying: communicate, make a difference and be the reason of a person’s smile!
